Guidelines for Poster Presentations

  1. Each poster should measure no more than 48 inches wide x 36 inches high. It can be smaller but must be readable from at least three feet away.

    • Poster should be in LANDSCAPE orientation (horizontal), not PORTRAIT.
    • The following should be prominently displayed by your poster:
    • Posters must meet these requirements in order to be displayed.
       
  2. CURO will cover the cost of printing your poster if you use Print & Copy Services in the Tate Student Center and submit online prior to deadline. 
    • Access the Print & Copy Services website here: http://dawgprints.uga.edu.
      • In the right-hand navigation menu, choose “Print Requests.”
      • At the bottom of the page, choose “CURO SYMPOSIUM POSTERS.”
      • Complete the request form, upload your poster, and submit the form.
    • Submit your poster as a PDF to Tate no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 25.
      • Print & Copy Services cannot guarantee they will have time to print any poster submitted after the deadline.
      • CURO will not pay for reprints.
      • Promptly pick up your poster once it has been printed.
         
  3. Posters will be displayed on double-sided boards or the felt-covered walls in the Classic Center, Grand Hall South. Velcro with adhesive backing or push pins will be provided to secure your poster.
     
  4. Posters must be displayed and ready for viewing by 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. The Classic Center will be open to allow you to mount your poster as early as 8 a.m.
     
  5. Presenters must be available to discuss their posters for the entire session (4-6 p.m.). If available, faculty mentors should also plan to attend and be prepared to help discuss their student’s research. Posters should be removed by 6:45pm. Participants may keep their posters.
     
  6. When you arrive, pick up your name tag and CURO Symposium Program at the registration table.
     
  7. Proceed to Grand Hall South (down the escalator, then on the left) where Symposium staff will direct you.
     
  8. All presenters are expected to attend the keynote address directly preceding the poster session on Monday, April 8, from 3-4 p.m.
